Child EndangermentPsychological and Social Needs of Drug Endangered Children
The Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) estimates that eighty to eighty-five percent of children who are in foster care is drug related.
Meet Sara, just 19-months old, she was one of the ten children discovered at seven one morning, when law enforcement served a search warrant on their home. Officers found Sara in filthy clothes, lying on the floor next to a half-pound of crank.
The home that Sara was rescued from had no electricity, no gas, no running water, rotten food covered the counters and filled the refrigerator.
Children like Sara are perhaps the most heart wrenching victims of Meth abuse and manufacturing.
